Who, having spent a 35 year career working in the Health Service, Social Services and Education, now concentrates on her own art work and community based projects – supporting others to find their own creativity and develop their skills. She is the inspirations for many projects, and the queen dyer behind natural dyes group.

Gina Frausin

Gina is a biologist and ethnobotanist who works in the Colombian and Brazilian Amazon with traditional communities (mainly indigenous) exploring traditional knowledge and cultural connections with the environment. She currently lives in England and she is the botanist behind natural dyes project, creator of the rapid colour guides .

She is also the videographer and photographer behind our YouTube channel and all our video tutorials.

Virginia Edwards

Virginia Edwards has loved sewing and knitting since she learned at Junior School. She has been an environmental activist and campaigner for most of her adult life. Sewing Café Lancaster is a fantastic way of combining these interests. Virginia is particularly interested in “mending as an act of revolution”, taking on a “mothering” role for some of the Sew and Sow boxes, assembling mending kits to give away, and helping to run mending sessions.

Enda O’Regan

Enda has worked for many years in Health and Social Care settings as a social worker. She has always been driven by holistic approaches and living in tune with the natural environment and wellbeing. She is now focussing on more ‘hands-on’ projects – growing plants (for food and natural dyes) and exploring more creative ways to enjoy the clothes we wear in ways which reduce the harmful impacts of the clothing industry on the environment. She continues to learn and work alongside others in the community, sharing skills, and raising awareness of these important issues.
