Consumerism: “excessive materialism and waste” (Glickman 2009)

Microfibres: Tiny plastic particles washed off from products such as synthetic clothes contribute up to 35% of the primary plastic that is polluting our oceans.

Petrochemicals: are any chemical manufactured from crude oil and natural gas, such as fertilisers, pesticides, plastics, soaps and detergents, solvents, drugs, explosives, synthetic fibres and rubbers, paints, epoxy resins, and flooring and insulating materials.
